Brief info

Dr. Deborah Simmons is pastor and Co-Founder of South Sacramento Christian Center (SSCC) and has achieved a long list of accomplishments, accreditationsis, and accolades during her twenty years in ministry. Dr. Simmons holds a Juris Doctorate in Law, a Doctorate in Christian Education, an Associate Degree in Math and is a graduate of Cops & Clergy. She also serves as the Dean of Joseph Business School, Sacramento.

Dr. Simmons is the author of Little Sad Face, a book created to help heal children who have been molested. Dr. Simmons gently introduces the subject of inappropriate touching, while opening the door to education and empowerment for children. Her empathetic, visionary exploration of this painful, life-changing experience gives hope and a voice to those who are suffering, and are afraid to speak. Little Sad Face contains dynamic illustrations that deeply touch the heart.

Dr. Simmons’ strength is helping others, particularly women, to achieve their desires by driving them to tap into the original purpose for which God placed them on this earth.

Dr. Simmons is the wife of over 46 years to Bishop Esley Simmons, Sr and is the mother of five children, thirteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
